Walk through: How to find your inner Italian (style)

During my last visit to Italy I have come to realize that in my past life I must have been an Italian. Honestly.

We visited the coast of Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento, some of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes I have ever seen. There I have also tapped into my inner Italian, getting inspiration from the smells, sounds, views and the people. At that point I started wondering what characterizes and Italian Style?

Whether its Monica Belluci, Sohphia Loren, Monica Vitti, or Isabella Rossellini, the inescapable charm and chic of Italian Women is mysterious, sexy and needs so much more than just clothes to imitate.

However, today we’ll try to find the key elements of Italian style, and how to find those in your own closet.

Lets go:

  • Red lipstick:

One of the most basic elements of an Italian look. If you want to adopt an Italian look you must be a strong, brave woman, who is not afraid of showing off, and especially with your lips.

  • Strong colors:

Red, white, black and the combination of those is highly welcome. Classical, sexy and uncompromising.

  • Hair pulled back:

Straight loose pony tail goes a long way with a black evening dress.

  • Suits! A lot of suits, the bigger the better:

I have always been a big fan of suits from all shapes and sizes, read more about it on my Michael Jackson post.

  • Stripes:

  • Sexy – very sexy.

And through in a pair of big round sunglasses and an oversized hat. It would make you look like an Italian Audrey Hepburn.

  • Simple but very extravagant:

No need to over complications, simple can go a long way with the right kind of accessories and attitude.

Most importantly,  I think that the true Italian nature is to enjoy the basic things in life; food, love, sex and life itself. Ciao!
